To whom it may concern. A little Dean Cornwell study done in Photoshop. I love them American illustrators. BTW - I added the
septum ring. Thought it would be fitting.
In the meantime (I hesitate to get into personal life stuff so...) I'll keep it more about the art and my experiences in the industry oppose to my current state of being and battle against depression.
Whoops! that was almost a little to much info already. Not really
though, I've found that being diagnosed with clinical depression has been one of the best things for me. In that I know now my cyclical moods and the need to isolate ever since I was in the 9th grade was actually a result of depression and not just a personality conflict with friends and society at large. Its such a common thing I've found. More about this later. Maybe.
Anyhow, if your reading this and have not read my bio, I've worked on the Simpsons TV show for almost eleven years now as of this August. It has been a total blessing. The people I work with are rad. And my job (believe it or not has allowed me some creative freedom in the primetime world of t.v. Be looking for the Halloween episode coming up this November as I had the opportunity/challenge to break out of the norm and paint an entire act (ACT 3 to be exact) in the old Peanuts (Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown) fashion. The BGs were to look as if they were done in watercolor. Lots of texture and dramatic skys. So the whole process was done in PS and CP. Once I had the paintings looking exact, I would take them into Painter for the textured watercolor paper effect. On my next entry I'll load up a few of the images from the show. Hopefully that'll be ok with Fox. If not , Fox, please notify me and I'll remove them at once. Blessings to all who read tonights entry. Let the sun shine in. Cbolden
